ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both Oregon and Arizona. I received my MSW from Portland State University in 2013, and have 14 years of experience working in the mental health field. I've worked in a variety of roles within the field, with a focus on people between the ages of 18 and 95.

My style is empathetic, interactive, warm, supportive, hopeful, reflective, and focused on developing strong, therapeutic relationships. I believe that strong, safe therapeutic relationships are the key to success, and that the effort is both reciprocal and collaborative.

I have experience with a wide variety of therapeutic techniques and approaches, and will tailor our work together based upon your unique experiences, needs and goals. I am hopeful, believe in recovery, and hold space for the challenges faced by those with who I work. I believe that judgment and shame are barriers to progress. Therefore, I work hard to remove judgment, and do not work through the use of criticism or shame.

I am currently providing services via telehealth through video to people living across the states of Oregon and Arizona. For some people, this can create hesitancy. I want to acknowledge this, and let you know that I see you. Yet, there are many benefits to teletherapy as well including: increased access for people living in rural communities where access to therapy is limited, an opportunity to maintain continuity during uncertain pandemic times and increased efficiency and convenience for you.

I currently work with clients throughout the states of Oregon and Arizona. I believe that access is really important and telehealth provides a conduit to this.

I want this to be a positive experience for you. If you feel I would be a good fit for you, please reach out so we can talk further.
